Founded in 1995 and recognized as Broadway’s “original” summer camp, Camp Broadway’s mission is to make theatre arts an accessible and relevant vehicle for creative children to build confidence, hone presentation skills and discover their unique talents at every stage of their lives. Now we’ve taken our award-winning teaching methodology and packaged it into a 40-hour, all-inclusive, course, which you can customize to meet the needs of your organization and community. It’s all part of Camp Broadway’s ongoing mission to make theater accessible and affordable for the next generation of theater artists and audiences.

Camp Broadway

CAMP BROADWAY® is a 2016 Special Drama Desk Award-winning company for “introducing young people to the magic of theater and for playing a crucial role in creating tomorrow’s audiences for over 20 years.” Founded in 1995 and recognized as Broadway’s “original” summer camp, Camp Broadway’s mission is to make theatre arts an accessible and relevant vehicle for creative children to build confidence, hone presentation skills, and discover their unique talents at every stage of their lives. The company is now a leader in audience engagement and a trusted source for year-round youth enrichment programs, experiential events, and educational workshops that have set the gold standard for professional, authorized musical theater and drama content for use in amateur arts programming. Honored for excellence by the Educational Theatre Association, recognized for its professionalism by the Greater New York Chamber of Commerce, and celebrated for its positive social impact on the community by the Best of New York, Camp Broadway is also a prolific producer of experiential learning programs. Broadway Education Alliance

Broadway Education Alliance is a New York-based 501c3 organization working at the intersection of education, enrichment, and engagement to spearhead the development of innovative, accessible, and inclusive solutions that inspire and support life-long learning through the performing arts for audiences of all ages. BEA cofounded and built the National High School Musical Theatre Awards (NHSMTA, aka The Jimmy Awards®) into Broadway’s most prestigious national education platform before transferring the program to The Broadway League Foundation. The organization continues to present the NHSMTA’s Greater New York Regional Award Program, The Roger Rees Awards for Excellence in Student Performance (www.rogerreesawards.com). BEA assumed operational management of Camp Broadway® and its education and enrichment portfolio.

Music Theatre International

Music Theatre International (MTI) is one of the world’s leading theatrical licensing agencies, granting theatres from around the world the rights to perform the greatest selection of musicals from Broadway and beyond. Founded in 1952 by composer Frank Loesser and orchestrator Don Walker, MTI is a driving force in advancing musical theatre as a vibrant and engaging art form. With its global headquarters in New York City and additional offices in London (MTI Europe) and Melbourne (MTI Australasia), the company has enabled over 70,000 professional, community, and school theatres in the United States and around the world to put on an authorized production. Their team of experts works directly with the composers, lyricists, and bookwriters of these musicals to provide official scripts, musical materials, and dynamic theatrical resources. MTI’s Broadway Junior® shows are 30 and 60- minute musicals for performance by elementary and middle school-aged performers.
